Notice
The mechanics found here are currently subject to revision and will likely be altered in the very near future to make certain effects more expensive than they are presented here currently.
The costs of having NPCs use sphere-based magic for you is not covered by the basic Spheres of Magic rules. Given that spheres of power works differently than magic in the core rulebook, you cannot simply use the mechanics for Spellcasting services given in the core rulebook, but you should be able to purchase magic services from sphere-based casters as well as, which the following house rule allows for.
Spellcasting Services (Spheres)
The standard cost of having a sphere cast for you is 10 gp x sphere complexity x the caster level of the sphere's effect. If the sphere complexity is 0, the cost is only 5 gp x the caster level of the effect (similar to purchasing a cantrip or orison). Magic effects provided by the Cantrips feat likewise cost only 5 gp.
In addition, not every town or village has a caster of sufficient level to cast powerful sphere magic. As a general rule you can be reasonably assured to find a 2nd level caster in a small town, 4th level in a large town, 8th level in a small city, 12th level in a large city, and 16th level in a metropolis. Even a metropolis isn't guaranteed to have a sphere caster of 17th caster level or higher.
Sphere Complexity: The complexity of the sphere ability is its total cost in Spell Points (including any increased cost from talents). A sphere effect that costs no spell points and has no additional talents has a complexity of 0. Every additional talent increases the complexity by +1, and every additional advanced talent increases the complexity by +2. If an advanced talent has any talents as prerequisites, you must include each required talent into the sphere complexity as if you were adding the effects of those talents. Additional effects added by feats (such as Superior Reanimation) increase the complexity as a talent would.
Caster Level: The minimum caster level for purchasing sphere casting is equal to the sphere's complexity or the caster level requirement for the talent (in the case of advanced talents), whichever is higher.
