All-Around Vision (Ex)
As a medusa matures her thickened hair grows into snakes. These snakes develop a bite, all around vision and poison. A medusa’s snakehair allows her to see in all directions. Medusas gain a +4 racial bonus to Perception checks and cannot be flanked.

Petrifying Gaze (Su)
Turn to stone permanently, Fortitude negates. The save DC is Charisma-based. Until level 8 this gaze attack can only be used to perform attack action gazes.

Poison (Ex)
Bite—injury; save Fort DC 18; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d3 Str; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Racial Feats

Narrowed Gaze
Your gaze attack has a limited field of effect.
Prerequisite: Int 13, gaze attack.
Benefit: You may choose to limit your gaze attack to an attack gaze at the start of your turn. Doing so disables the radius effect of your gaze attack until the beginning of your next turn, preventing you from accidentally affecting allies with your gaze.
Normal: A gaze attack functions constantly on all those within range, and it can also be used actively as an attack action.
