Big, brutal, and remarkably cunning, the bugbear is among the most dangerous of goblinkind. They lack a culture of their own, they instead mingle with their goblinoid relatives. They are natural overlords for their smaller goblin kin where they enjoy cowing goblins to be their servants and lackies, and effective champions in hobgoblin tribes where they enjoy prestigious military positions and the fruits of their raids. When left to their own devices, most are satisfied with living solitary lives as hunters, mercenaries, and assassins. In more civilized regions, they are despised by most but prized by criminal organizations for their brawn and natural talent for extortion and bullying.
